Medications don’t have to taste bad, that’s why we offer a variety of flavors!
As a compounding pharmacy, we understand the challenge around taking medication, especially if they don’t taste good. Our compounding capabilities allow us to flavor most medications in multiple dosage forms to meet many different needs. Flavoring medicine is a simple solution to helping both humans and animals take their prescribed medication as directed by their physician or veterinarian.
Children and Adults
One advantage of compounding is its ability to customize medication by simply flavoring it. GEM Edwards Pharmacy has access to a variety of flavors which can enhance the taste making it easier to take medication. Without changing the strength or effectiveness of the medicine, adding flavoring to a compounded medicine can meet taste preferences for most children or adults. Most won’t mind taking medicine that tastes like bubblegum, strawberry, or tutti fruitti.

Animals
Cats, dogs, horses, and even zoo animals are prime candidates for flavored medication. Just like humans, medication can also be flavored for animals. GEM Edwards Pharmacy works with pet owners and veterinarians to compound custom-flavored medication to that meets the tastes and preferences of most animals. (*Flavors available for equine)
